What kind of competitions are there?

There are various grades and types of competition.

Grade 3-7 and ungraded events are suitable for most players. These can take place at local level, for example at a public court or club venue; at county level; and at regional or district level.

Grade 6 and 7 competition counts towards your ITF World Tennis Number (WTN), but not your rating/ranking/recent form.
Grade 3, 4 and 5 competitions all count towards your WTN as well as your rating/ranking/recent form.

How do I know what tournaments and competitions are taking place?

All Double Dutch events can be found in and entered through the calendar.

You can find an overview of all upcoming LTA tournaments on the competition section of their website. Here you will be able to search by venue, city, county, distance, grade level, and age group: competitions.lta.org.uk/tournaments

What do I need to enter a tournament and start competing?

All you need to enter a competition online is a British Tennis Membership (BTM) Number!

Your BTM number will make sure that your ratings, rankings, recent form or ITF World Tennis Number (WTN) are up to date.

You can get a BTM Number through LTA Advantage. The LTA offers various options for Advantage membership. You can compare options on the LTA website, to choose the most suitable for you: www.lta.org.uk/advantage/compare/

Become an Advantage member and get your BTM number here: www.lta.org.uk/advantage
